Ieri ho provato a scrivere al supporto mappe della Renault UK per avere delucidazione sull'aggiornamento mappe e, dopo 1 ora, mi hanno risposto:
Dear Mr VIZZINI,
Thank you for contacting Renault Connected Services Helpline.
You have reached Rui Diniz and I will be assisting you with your query regarding the map update.
Renault does make available a free map update for new vehicles, during the first 90 days of vehicle usage. Please send us the VIN number (chassis number in the paperwork, starts with VF1), for us to check availability.
If, however, those 90 days have passed, then it can only be updated through a purchase.
Here are the instructions, if you wish to go ahead and acquire it:
1) First, please access the R-Link store website (
https://www.renault.it/accedi.html) and login to your account.
2) Now, underneath the “R-Link Store” option chose “My Catalogue”.
3) Select the “Categories” option, and then “Maps”.
4) If you wish to purchase this update, click on the “Buy” button. At this moment a new window will show up with some information, please accept the terms and conditions after reading this and click again on the “Buy” option.
5) It will now ask you to select a payment method, please do so and continue the purchase by following the appropriate steps.
Once you have purchased the map, you may now download it following the instructions below:
1) First, make sure that the SD Card is inserted in your computer.
2) On the R-Link store website's left menu please select R-Link -->Update. Once the account loads and shows the contents linked to your car (If you have more than 1 car verify that the correct one is selected), choose the map updated listed.
3) Please read carefully the instructions displayed in the notice as these contain very important information. Once you have done so click on the "Update" button.
4) At this moment if the Toolbox doesn't open automatically please open it manually and then click on "Launch my downloads”.
NOTE: If you haven't downloaded the Toolbox yet, you may do so from your R-Link store account by accessing the “R-L” icon with a download button.
may take longer than usual. For example, map updates take longer as they're larger files.
Once you have completed the whole process, I kindly ask you to please confirm if this has been completed successfully.
Lastly, in order to maintain an appropriate order in the history of your request, please reply directly to this email by using the “reply” option.

Ora gli ho risposto dicendo che il servizio di aggiornamento è di 12 mesi e non di 3!! Vediamo se si risolve qualcosa....

Servizio di assistenza veramente rapido....ho avuto uno scambio di mail in pochi minuti!! Peccato che, a quanto sembra, non ci siano ancora aggiornamenti per le mappe
E confermata la possibilità di scaricare aggiornamenti per i primi 12 mesi perchè si tratta di R-link 2...speriamo che ce ne siano!

Thank you for sending me the information that I have requested.
From the VIN sent, I see that the device is a R-Link 2. In that case, you will, in fact, have a 12 month period during which any new map version will be available for free. However, at the moment, there is no newer map version for your device.
Nevertheless, as indicated, as soon as one is launched, you will have it available for installation in the R-Link Store.
